What Sentinel does

Sentinel detects supported Bluetooth-enabled wearable devices and analyses nearby wireless privacy risks on your iPhone. Detection and scoring run on device. Results stay on your device.

Important limits:

• Sentinel reads Bluetooth LE advertisements only
• It cannot confirm whether a device is currently recording
• Devices that do not broadcast over Bluetooth are invisible to phone-based scanning

Common questions

Bluetooth permission / scanning unavailable: Open iOS Settings → Sentinel and allow Bluetooth. On Simulator, Sentinel shows a modelled feed because Core Bluetooth cannot scan there.

No devices appear: Make sure Bluetooth is on, you are near broadcasting devices, and you have granted Bluetooth permission. Some wearables keep radios quiet or off.

Alerts are too noisy: Use Silent Guardian / trust zones and notification settings in the App to quiet alerts in places you trust.
