Our privacy principles

Sentinel is built to keep findings on your device:

• No account: you can use the App without creating an account
• No cloud backend operated by us: detection and scoring run on device
• No analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs
• No network calls for scanning: Bluetooth LE advertisements are read locally

Information the App handles

Information stored on your device

The App stores preferences and findings locally on your device (for example via on-device storage such as UserDefaults). This may include:

• Scan results, device profiles, confidence reasons, and timeline events generated on device
• App settings (scan modes, Silent Guardian preferences, notification preferences)
• Trust zone names and related local preferences
• Onboarding state and entitlement/unlock state needed to show Pro features

This data stays on your device unless you choose to share it (for example when contacting support or exporting a report yourself).

Bluetooth scanning

To detect nearby wearables, the App uses Apple’s Core Bluetooth APIs to read Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements broadcast by nearby devices (such as manufacturer company IDs, service UUIDs, local names, RSSI, and advertising cadence). The App does not pair with devices for scanning and does not access the contents of other apps.
